    General Information:
    The Department of Agricultural Economics and Economics (DAEE) is jointly administered by the College of Agriculture and the College of Letters and Science. The Department has 20 tenured or tenure-track faculty members, about half of whom work in the field of Agricultural Economics. The Faculty members are highly productive scholars with a focus on high quality publications in leading refereed journals. Undergraduate degrees are offered in Agricultural Business, Economics, and Financial Engineering, with undergraduate majors numbering about 360, and a rigorous, highly respected Master's degree in Applied Economics, graduating an average of six students per year.

    The DAEE seeks applications for a lecturer for the 2017-18 academic year. Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of undergraduate courses at both the introductory and advanced levels, with responsibility for high-quality classroom instruction, the use of up-to-date and effective learning assessment tools, and meeting with students during office hours and at other times as necessary. This appointment is renewable depending on teaching evaluations and departmental need and has no research or service obligations. For AY1718, this position is a 4-3 teaching load with two preparations – Essentials of Economics, ECNS 101, and Principles of Macroeconomics, ECNS 202.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Master’s or ABD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
    2. Current expertise and substantial knowledge in the specific field or discipline.
    3. Experience teaching economics.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Ph.D. candidate in Economics or Agricultural Economics.

    Compensation
    The 9-month salary is $45,000 + benefits. There is also a $2,000 moving allowance.
