    The Department of Economics invites application for a tenure-track faculty position to start in August 2018 as an assistant professor. Duties include both undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and normal service requirements. We are looking at candidates in three specific areas: (1) Microeconomic Theory: Candidates should preferably have research interests that intersect with either behavioral economics or mathematical finance. (2) Applied Econometrics: Candidates should preferably have research interests in theoretical and applied econometrics that intersect with policy analysis. (3) Applied Microeconomics: Candidates should preferably have research interests that intersect with macroeconomics or trade. The hiring process will stress the potential of candidates to produce internationally recognized research in economics and to interact positively with existing faculty at FSU.

    The Department may hire at either the new Ph.D. or the advanced Assistant Professor level (Ph.D. in hand with prior academic experience). Under exceptional circumstances, a second hire is possible. Either the Ph.D. must be in hand or all requirements for the Ph.D. must be satisfied by 8/6/18.
