Faculty Position, Department of Economics Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Economics at the Assistant Professor level. The starting date for the position is August 2018.
The faculty hiring is conditional on budgetary approval by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
The department seeks candidates in: (a) Microeconomics; and (b) Econometrics. Candidates must be able to teach in the Microeconomic Theory or Econometric Theory sequences in the PhD program.
The recipient of the position will carry out a sustained program of high-quality research and publications, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and serve Rensselaer's communities in School and Institute activities. Ability to generate externally funded grants will be viewed as a positive attribute.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree or foreign degree equivalent by August 2018. The successful candidate is expected to have an outstanding academic track record and evidence of potential in research and teaching.
