The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-stream appointment in the Economic Analysis and Policy area with a specialty in Macroeconomics and International Economics. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence July 1, 2018
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in research in the field of Macroeconomics and International Economics or a closely related field of Economics, excellence in teaching, and have earned a Ph.D. degree in Economics or equivalent by the time of appointment or soon thereafter. She or he will be expected to conduct innovative research at the highest international level, and to establish an outstanding, externally funded research program. The position comes with undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities, including courses in Economics.
Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research of the highest international caliber, demonstrated by an innovative job market paper with a significant contribution to the literature or a research pipeline that is at high international levels, and strong recommendations by referees of high international standing. Further support can be provided by high quality working papers, presentations at significant conferences, accolades, or awards.
Excellence in teaching can be demonstrated by teaching accomplishments teaching statement and teaching dossier submitted as part of the application, as well as strong endorsements from referees, and evidence of strong communication and expository skills.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
