    The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Goethe University Frankfurt, in cooperation with the Research Center SAFE at the House of Finance is offering the position of a
    Postdoctoral Researcher
    (100% Position)

    We are looking for
    a postdoctoral researcher with a PhD in Finance, Economics or Econometrics to lead the project FiF (“Forschungsdateninfrastruktur für Finanzdaten”) financed by the German Science Foundation (DFG in German). The researcher will work as a data scientist and data manager and supervise all phases of the project. The objective is to build a data repository and intelligence pool to support and enhance finance research.

    Your Profile
    •Holds a PhD in Finance, Economics, Econometrics or a related field.
    •Very good knowledge of financial databases like SNL, Datastream, Bloomberg, Amadeus, etc.
    •Excellent knowledge of English and German would be an asset.
    •Advanced skills in statistical software packages such as Matlab, Stata and R.
    •Ability to work independently and to contribute to the design of research agenda within the area.
    •Flexibility and Team work abilities.

    We offer

You will be working in a very attractive working environment in the House of Finance at Goethe University and an enthusiastic team of colleagues. Compensation will be a full time position in accordance with the standards of the public services wage agreement of the State of Hessen (TV-H E 13). The employment contract has a duration of 36 months.
