- Employer: Paris School of Economics (Paris School of Economics)
- Location: France
- Position Type: Post-Doc
- Deadline: Mar 2, 2018
- Job Description:
The Paris School of Economics (PSE) invites applicants for a two-year postdoc position in applied labor economics.
We are looking for an excellent economist with expected completion of PhD no later than date of appointment.
The Paris School of Economics is a top economics department worldwide. It has a strong group in applied labor economics, applied micro generally, and public policy.
The post-doc recruitment is linked to funding from NORFACE where the Labor Economics and Public Policy group at PSE collaborates with teams of researchers at University College London and the Norwegian School of Economics (Bergen).
The program is focused on those three countries, and core topics are: i) inequality over the life-cycle, ii) child development, iii) parental investments, iv) related public policies. Within these topics, the new hire will be encouraged to develop an individual research agenda in collaboration with the members of the research group.
The position will involve no teaching and very moderate administrative duties. The post-doc would interact with PhD students recruited on that same NORFACE program.
The position is based in Paris, but research travel will be encouraged and there are also opportunities for research stays at collaborating institutions. Knowledge of French is not required.
