Aalto University School of Business invites applications for Assistant Professor in Applied Microeconomics.
The position is in the Department of Economics, the leading research oriented economics unit in Finland with currently 10 tenure track or tenured positions. The Department is jointly located with the economics departments of the University of Helsinki, Hanken School of Economics and VATT Institute of Economic Research under the umbrella of Helsinki Center of Economic Research (HECER). HECER organizes jointly run graduate teaching and seminar series for its participating units making the HECER community the center of academic economic research in Finland.

Throughout their careers, those in the academic tenure track system are expected to carry out and supervise scientific research, to provide high quality academic education, to follow the advances of their field, to participate in service to the Aalto University community, to the academic community and to the society at large.
The applicants should hold a doctoral degree in economics or in a related field. The applicants will be reviewed based on their research, teaching and activity in the scientific community. Special consideration is given to candidates that have demonstrated their ability to produce high quality empirical research. In the absence of formal proof of quality in research and teaching (e.g. published papers, teaching ratings), applicants are encouraged to submit proof of significant potential for high-quality teaching and research.
Salary will be defined according to Aalto University´s payroll system.
