JOB POSTING – POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW
Area of Research: Experimental-Behavioral Economics
Description of duties: The Department of Economics at the University of Toronto is offering a postdoctoral position in Experimental-Behavioral Economics. Appointment will be for two years, renewable for a third year conditional on satisfactory performance. The Toronto Experimental Economics Lab was established in 2017 to allow researchers affiliated with the department to conduct controlled experimental studies. The successful candidate will be supervised by Professor Yoram Halevy and is expected to manage and develop the lab and to teach two sections (1.0 FCE) of an undergraduate course (48 hours of instructions total) in the department.
Salary: 70,000 – 80,000 CAD per year
Please note that should the minimum rates stipulated in the collective agreement fall below the rates stated in this posting, the minimum rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Required qualifications: A PhD prior to beginning the position is required. Applicants should have strong interest in experimental economics and good knowledge in economic theory. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to collaborate with faculty and students at the University of Toronto as well as to develop their own research agenda.

The normal hours of work are 40 hours per week for a full-time postdoctoral fellow recognizing that the needs of the employee’s research and training and the needs of the supervisor’s research program may require flexibility in the performance of the employee’s duties and hours of work.
Employment as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto is covered by the terms of the CUPE 3902 Unit 5 Collective Agreement. The teaching portion of a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto is covered by the terms of the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 Collective Agreement
