On November 6, the recruiter changed the degree requirement to Bachelors and the category to Research Assistant (pre-doc).
The Department of Economics is looking to appoint a Research Assistant with a strong background in economics and micro econometrics to work alongside Professor Sonia Bhalotra.
The research will be related to labour markets, gender, families, health (including mental health) and institutions. Current projects include analysis of administrative and survey data sets, field experiments and survey and lab experiments.
The post is funded by the ERC project ‘Generating new Evidence to Address Violence Against Women: Realising Women’s Rights’ which entails looking at the labour market, mental health and institutions among other things.
The individual appointed will have the opportunity to work on more than one research project, undertaking a range of tasks including data creation, data analysis, survey design, experimental design, and writing.
The position is particularly suitable for someone interested in pursuing a PhD in Economics or related fields.
The Research Assistant will benefit from mentoring from the Principal Investigator and will have the opportunity to develop several skills useful for conducting academic research.
The post is initially for 1-year fixed term contract with the possibility to renew.
