IÉSEG School of Management invites applications for one full-time position in Applied Microeconomics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level starting in September 2021. The selected candidate will be based at the IÉSEG campus in Paris, and work in close collaboration with a research team specializing in labor, migration, family economics and economic history.

ABOUT THE ECONOMICS & QUANTITATIVE METHODS DEPARTMENT

Our department’s faculty are actively involved in research that has led to a large number of publications in highly reputable, national and international journals, such as American Economic Review, Management Science, Journal of Econometrics, Economic Theory, European Economic Review, Experimental Economics, Journal of Comparative Economics, Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, as well as other prestigious scholarly outlets.  Our faculty work in the areas such as the measurement of the performance in production, migration and labor economics, operations management, risk theory, game theory, and applied microeconomics in general, among others. They rely on multidisciplinary approaches in their scholarly work, incorporating fields such as health economics, environmental economics, and corporate finance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

From applicants, we expect evidence of strong teaching skills and a commitment to research excellence. Our selected applicant will be asked to teach courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and/or postgraduate level and also contribute to the design and development of the School’s programs. Applicants should embody the values of the school and be team players.

Applicants hold a Ph.D. or are very close to its completion. They have the potential to conduct high-quality research and already proved their ability to publish in reputable journals.

Applicants should be completely fluent in English as all courses will be taught in this language. Prior knowledge of French is not expected; the School provides French courses to faculty members.
