Job Summary
 
CCRI seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position within our Social Sciences Department to teach: Introduction to Economics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Principles of Macroeconomics. The faculty member will also participate in curriculum development and serve on departmental and college committees.
 
Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college.
• Engage in high-quality instruction in a diverse, inclusive and student-centered environment, and the ability to work with students with various cultures, identities, and life-experiences.
• Use technology to enhance instruction and communicate effectively with the campus community.
 
Departmental Support:
• Participate in departmental and institutional activities, including curriculum review and development and committee work.
•Be willing to travel and teach at multi-campus locations as required by department needs.
 
The most suitably qualified candidate will possess the following competencies:
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Will have the ability to use a collaborative approach when working with students and colleagues.
 
Minimum Requirements
 
• Master’s degree in Economics, required. Related fields will not be considered. 
• Minimum of four semesters, within the last five years, of stand-alone college teaching Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and/or Introduction to Economics (at least two of three), full- or part-time, at an accredited institution of higher learning, required.
