The Department of Economics at Tilburg University’s School of Economics and Management is seeking to hire two tenure-track Assistant Professors of Economics. Applicants should have outstanding research potential as well as the ability to provide high-quality teaching in economics at the undergraduate and graduate level.  The tenure track positions offer ample opportunities for research as they carry a light teaching load (approximately one course per semester). Positions are for a period of six years; after at most five years a tenure decision is made. The department seeks a diverse workforce and female candidates are prioritized.

Tilburg University is among the top European institutions specializing in social sciences. The Department of Economics has a strong research reputation, with a high-quality graduate school (CentER). We offer competitive European salaries. Researchers from outside the Netherlands can apply for a tax-free allowance equal to 30% of their taxable salary (for the first five years of their stay in the Netherlands). The University offers a generous pension scheme as well as assistance in addressing relocation issues (including finding suitable accommodation).
