1465050-Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Economics

Grade 7: £32,817 - £40,322 p.a.

Full time, fixed term for 2 years

Applicants are invited to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Economics. Applicants must have a relevant PhD and relevant experience to develop and manage research projects as part of the overall research agenda in the ERC grant. The post is available from autumn 2020 and will be full time for the duration of two years.

The post-holder will be a member of a research group with responsibility for carrying out research as part of the ERC research project “Monetary Economics and Communication: New Data, New Tools, New and Old Questions”. The post holder may also provide guidance to junior members of the research group including research assistants, PhD students and project volunteers.

You will hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD in a relevant discipline together with relevant experience. You will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work with established research programmes. The skills you will hold include economic analysis, data science techniques including textual analysis, Python programming skills and experience with survey design and analysis. You will also have the ability to manage your own research tasks and work with some independence on assigned work.

This is a two-year, fixed-term contract (externally-funded) post which can commence from Autumn 2020.
