The Banque de France is planning to recruit several experienced or new Ph.D.s in economics, econometrics and finance for its headquarters in Paris. This year, areas of particular interest are macroeconomics (growth and productivity, labor economics, economics of climate change, monetary economics, international economics (macro, trade, international finance), applied macroeconomics and forecasting, and applied microeconomics (innovation and R&D, industrial organization, public policy evaluation).

The Banque de France provides an excellent work and research environment. The main tasks of the potential candidates will be to conduct high-quality policy-oriented research, publishable in international refereed journals, to produce reports and briefings for the Bank’s senior management, to contribute to the Bank's publications and to the development of its modelling toolbox.

Candidates will be expected to travel and participate in meetings organized by international institutions as well as interact with the academic community in their field of expertise. Three-year fixed-term, full-time contracts are offered. Knowledge of French as a working language would be an asset but is not required. Salary and benefits vary with experience and are competitive on a European scale.
