The Faculty of Economic Sciences in Moscow and Department of Economics in St Petersburg* invite applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions (both entry and advanced levels) as well as senior positions with tenure. We have multiple job openings, and the priority will be given to candidates with research areas in Macroeconomics and Finance. St.Petersburg has special interest in Spatial Economics (http://ces.hse.ru) and Game Theory (https://game.hse.ru/en/). The positions are open to all nationalities, and the knowledge of Russian is not required as teaching and research are conducted in English.
*Interested candidates may be considered for positions in HSE branch in St. Petersburg. Please indicate your interest in the cover letter.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in economics, finance, financial economics or a related field, and be in receipt of it prior to the starting date of the contract. The successful candidate is expected to produce high-quality research publishable in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Senior candidates must have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.
The salary is internationally competitive, indexed to inflation annually, and subject to a 13% flat income tax. The university offers health insurance (free of charge) and language assistance; travel support and other research assistance are generous. Since we have heavy emphasis placed on high quality research, the teaching load of newly hired faculty is relatively low and service is minimal.
All candidates must apply online at http://www.econjobmarket.org. Please submit by the indicated deadlines (i) a CV, (ii) a statement of research interests, (iii) your job market paper, (iv) at least 3 reference letters and (v) a cover letter. Optionally, you may submit additional papers. Interviews will be conducted remotely by video starting December, 2021.
