The Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow is seeking to fill three posts at the Lecturer (Assistant Professor) level. The School is entering a new phase of considerable growth and seeks to expand its expertise in several areas of Economics, with an emphasis in Applied Macroeconomics, Behavioral and Experimental, Development, Environmental, Labor, and Financial Economics. For these research-focused posts, we welcome applicants who have the potential to publish in top journals in economics and their respective fields, can actively demonstrate policy relevance of their research findings and capacity of securing research funding.

These posts complement multiple recent appointments at both early career and experienced levels and will play a key role in further enhancing our research capacity in applied economics (broadly speaking) which is a key strategic priority of the Adam Smith Business School and the University.

We offer a competitive wage, an excellent research environment, and very generous resources and support for developing your career. Applicants at entry level should be able to demonstrate either an existing record or potential for publications in top-rated journals and contribute to learning and student experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Applicants at more experienced levels should in addition demonstrate a record (or potential) of securing research funding, provide academic leadership and management within the School, and actively engage in relationships with external stakeholders that advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach.

For informal inquiries please contact Professor Eugenio Proto (Eugenio.Proto@glasgow.ac.uk) or Professor Dimitrios Christelis (Dimitris.Christelis@glasgow.ac.uk)

We will interview at the online EEA job market meeting, and, if needed, we will conduct interviews online on other days in December. To be considered for these interviews we should receive your application by Monday, November 28. We will monitor applications that arrive after this date, but late applications will have a significantly lower chance to lead to an interview.
