The Chair of Statistics and Econometrics at LMU Munich seeks to recruit an outstanding researcher with a research focus on econometrics. An Assistant Professor at the Chair of Statistics and Econometrics is an independent faculty member with their own research budget. The successful candidate is expected to conduct independent research, to publish in high-quality international journals, and to teach. The position is limited to a maximum of 6 years. Furthermore, the successful candidate is expected to have obtained a PhD before taking up the position.

The Chair of Statistics and Econometrics is a vibrant group of econometricians in LMU's Department of Statistics, with strong ties to LMU's Department of Economics and to the international research community.

Applicants should provide a CV, at least two letters of recommendation, their job market paper and at least one further paper. Applications and all documents must be submitted online via econjobmarket.org.
