The Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, will recruit two Assistant Professors in Economics. These are six-year tenure track positions, with a mid-term review after three years. The expected start date is September 2025. Each position will be advertised separately.
This ad is for the Applied Microeconomics position, which will emphasize candidates in labor and development economics. The labor and development groups in Gothenburg include researchers with a wide range of research interests, including health, historical economics, education, crime, and family economics.
Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Economics. Research potential will be the key selection criterion, and the successful candidate is expected to carry out research suitable for publication in highly ranked economics journals.
The teaching load is minimal; English is the primary teaching language.
