    2019-10-23   Automatic "cleaning" of advertisement text now possible Recruiter
    Advertisement text pasted in from a Word document can look very unattractive. We now offer recruiters the option to choose a "cleaned" version of their advertisement text that may be more attractive.

    2019-10-14   Allow recruiting Managers to restrict Reviewers from seeing the applications for some positions Recruiter
    A recruiting Manager can select, for each Reviewer, positions for which the reviewer cannot see the applications. (A Manager may want to block a Reviewer from seeing the applications to a position to which someone personally connected to the Reviewer has applied, for example.)

    2019-10-06   Allow recruiters to include questions on application form whose answers are visible only to managers Recruiter
    A recruiter can include questions on the application form for a position whose answers are visible only to managers and only after an ad closes; these answers are not visible to reviewers of applications. This functionality is designed for questions about personal characteristics that a recruiter is required to collect but is not permitted to use when evaluating applications.

    In the case that an applicant requests a person as their recommender with the same first and last names as an existing user, lead them through the process of determining whether the existing user is the person they want.

    A proxy can now remove a recommender from their list (which may be appropriate if, for example, the recommender has moved to a different institution).

    2019-09-29   Allow users to download a csv file of all current postings Applicant
    A user (in particular an applicant) can download a csv file of all current postings, with the text of the ad in markdown format. Once a user has downloaded a file, the next time they request a download they have the option to get only those ads that have been posted since the last time they downloaded a file of postings.

    Notifications to recommenders regarding applicants who have named them in applications now give the title of the advertisement and the identity of the recruiter.

    A page with videos explaining how to use the various parts of the EconJobMarket system now exists (see the link Informational videos in the User support column of the footer). We will gradually add more videos.

    An applicant can now remove a recommender from the list on their Recommenders page, which makes the page less cluttered and less potentially confusing if an applicant changes their set of recommenders.

    A recommender can mark applicants as "archived", moving them off their main page of applicants. So a recommender can now list on their page only applicants from the current year. Archived applicants can be unarchived at any time.

    An applicant can archive applications, moving them onto a separate page. An applicant who is returning to the job market may, for example, want to see on their main page of applications only ones for the current year.

    A recruiter can produce a receipt or an invoice for any payment. (Previously they could produce only an invoice, and only for the current amount payable.) Receipts and invoices are now pdf files, rather than plain text.

    A recruiter is now asked to make a payment only after they confirm their advertisement.

    The main change is that when an applicant's request for a recommender is denied, the applicant can resubmit the request without having to submit a fresh request.

    Rather than showing all intended attendance at job market conferences, an applicant's main page now shows only their intended attendance at upcoming conferences.

    A user can now be a recruiter for any number of organizations. A recruiting manager can assign any user to be a manager or reviewer for their organization.

    2019-06-22   Allow recruiter to specify message to applicant when application is complete Recruiter Applicant
    A recruiter can specify a message and optionally a URL to be displayed to each applicant when their application becomes complete. The message can be used, for example, to ask the applicant to submit a supplementary form at the URL specified, or simply to invite the applicant to visit the recruiter's website. Specifying a message is optional.

    2019-06-18   Recruiter who changes ad status to "position filled" or "search suspended" has option to stop ad Recruiter
    If recruiter changes the status of their ad to "Position filled" or "Search suspended", they now have the option to stop posting the ad.

    Featured ads are now displayed at the top of the page of all job postings, and for any search for which a featured ad is included in the results, that ad is shown at the top of the results.

    A recruiter who has created an ad but not confirmed it is reminded to confirm it on and after the start date of the ad.

    A recruiter can see a list of all the events for a posting: who initiated the posting, who edited it, which elements they edited, and at what times they did so.
