Postdoctoral Research Positions in Economics and Data Science at ETH Zurich
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at ETH Zurich is pleased to announce openings for two postdoctoral researcher positions in economics and data science. These positions offer an excellent opportunity to advance independent research within a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment at one of the world’s top research institutions.
About the Positions: We are looking for candidates with a solid background in applied microeconomics who are eager to employ advanced data science techniques. This includes machine learning and deep learning methods, especially within natural language processing (NLP), to tackle critical social and economic questions. This position is ideal for researchers with strong expertise in data-driven methods and a commitment to interdisciplinary, impactful research.

Why ETH Zurich? These roles offer a starting salary of approximately 105K USD (at current exchange rates) and an initial one-year appointment, renewable up to three years based on performance. Located in Zurich, ETH Zurich provides an internationally vibrant research environment with English as the primary working language.
