The Bank of Finland Research Unit is hiring for a full-time, fixed-term (two year) position, equivalent to a postdoctoral role, starting in Fall 2025. We welcome applications from candidates with a keen interest in theory or empirical work, particularly in using large micro datasets, to contribute to fields relevant to central banking, such as macroeconomics, monetary economics, banking, and financial stability. The successful candidate will work with the Bank’s researchers on high-quality Finnish registry data and other micro datasets and will have the potential to develop a long-term research relationship. The Unit’s primary task is to produce research relevant to central banking and to publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. The Research Unit's working language is English, and knowledge of Finnish is not required.

Required Qualifications:
– Doctorate in Economics or Finance
– Ability to conduct and publish high-quality, policy-relevant research
