Job Description:
The School of Government at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) seeks two candidates for full-time tenure-track positions of Assistant Professor with starting date in 2025. In exceptional cases, candidates with potential for an Associate position may be considered. The open positions are in the fields of Educational Administration and Development Policy.
Sought profiles:
● Solid theoretical background.
● Advanced statistical skills and use of quantitative methods.
● Preferred topics of research are (non-exclusive):
Academic requirements:
● Ph.D. degree (or forthcoming) in Education, Economics, Sociology, or related disciplines.
● Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching.
● Published or forthcoming scholarly work that reveals potential for high-level research. For this request the candidate may include doctoral dissertation chapters.
Responsibilities:
● Ability to instruct both introductory and advanced courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
● Teaching load will be three courses per year (Courses are preferably taught in Spanish and last for one semester).
● Availability to coordinate internal activities such as departmental seminars.
● Development of research projects that may eventually be published in high-level academic journals.
● Direction of thesis projects.
● Regular participation in the activities and institutional development of the School and the University.
The position offers a competitive package which includes research funds and a sabbatical year (with full salary) every six years, once the faculty member promotes to tenure.
The researcher will develop his/her activity within a dynamic and plural academic community, interacting within the School with researchers in applied economics, education, and other areas of the University such as digital technologies, neuroscience, public policy, design, business, economics, etc.
