About the role:
The Melbourne Institute is seeking a distinguished Professorial/Principal Fellow or Enterprise Professor/Enterprise Fellow to lead and shape research and engagement in Macroeconomic Modelling, with a focus on Forecasting and Policy Analysis. As a key member of the Melbourne Institute's leadership team, you will:
• Drive groundbreaking research in macroeconomics.
• Foster connections with government and industry.
• Contribute to shaping Australian economic and social policy.
Who we are looking for:
We seek an exceptional Professorial/Principal Fellow or Enterprise Professor/Enterprise Fellow with a deep understanding of the Australian economic landscape and a proven track record of impactful research to join our dynamic team.
You will also have:
• A PhD or equivalent in economics or a related field.
• A distinguished record of high-quality research publications in leading academic journals.
• A proven ability to secure competitive research funding
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and supervise research staff and PhD students.
• A strong commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive research environment.
This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
