The Study Center Gerzensee, foundation of the Swiss National Bank, is a non-profit provider of services to economists in academia and policy. The Study Center offers excellent graduate training and continuing education in economics. The Study Center is also an internationally renowned forum for economic debate. We have a particular focus on topics relevant to central banking.
We are currently inviting applications for a
(Full-time, Fixed Term: 24-36 months)
This position is targeted towards economists who are passionate about high-quality research with policy relevance. The successful candidate will be aiming for a career as an academic or as a research economist in a policy institution. We seek candidates preferably in the areas of monetary economics, financial intermediation, or macroeconomics. You will be eager to engage with the world-class scholars who teach in our course programs and who attend our conferences.
The successful candidate will produce excellent research, thus contributing to the academic visibility of the Study Center. The position comes with research funding for conference attendance. You will also provide academic support to our various course programs and conferences. Two-thirds of your time will be ringfenced for self-directed research. One-third of your time will be dedicated to supporting the Study Center’s academic activities.
The starting date for the position is summer 2025. The working location is Gerzensee.
