The Center for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability (CeMoF) at Stockholm University invites applications for a one-year post-doc position beginning in September 2026. Stockholm University is a large public university and CeMoF is a center that aims to support research in fields of relevance to central banks. Three departments at the university participate in the center: Department of Economics, Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES), and the section of Finance at Stockholm Business School. Sveriges Riksbank is represented in CeMoF’s board.

CeMoF offers a one-year post-doc position for job market candidates that will (or plan to) begin a tenure-track assistant professor position at another institution in fall 2027. The position comes with a competitive salary and a modest teaching load, ideally in the form a small module in an existing second-year Ph.D. course. The physical location of the post-doc could be at one or several of the departments that have a stake in CeMoF. The position is open for any field of Economics or Finance with relevance to central banks, including macroeconomics, monetary economics, banking, and financial intermediation. Research potential is our key selection criterion. Candidates should have completed or be near completion of the PhD.

Members of CeMoF’s management team will conduct interviews and job talks in early 2026 as the job market for tenure-track positions starts to clear. To apply, submit your CV, a cover letter, your job market paper and three letters of recommendation at https://econjobmarket.org by November 29, 2025. For further information concerning CeMoF please visit https://www.su.se/center-for-monetary-policy-and-financial-stability/.

Contact CeMoF’s director Roine Vestman (roine.vestman@su.se) for more information. Susanne Påhlsson (susanne.pahlsson@su.se) can answer questions about the administrative aspects of the vacancies.
