The Institute of Economics and Econometrics at the Geneva School of Economics and Management, University of Geneva, (Switzerland) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in environmental economics, starting as early as Summer 2026. The position is for up to two years, or ideally one year if the candidate is deferring an assistant professor position.
We welcome applicants with research interests in environmental economics, forest conservation and sustainable trade policies, and related methods, including structural econometrics, dynamic discrete choice models, quantitative spatial and trade models, and machine learning for remote sensing data. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with large geo-referenced datasets, proficiency in R (or potentially Python), and eventually familiarity with the Brazilian context and/or language.
The position offers a highly competitive salary, along with support for travel and research expenses. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. by the official start date.
