About the University and College
China Agricultural University (CAU) was founded in 1905 and located in Beijing, capital city of China. CAU is one of the "Double First Class Initiative", 985 project, 211 project universities in China, ranking top 30 in China and top 200 in the US News global university ranking. It is home for 19 colleges and 1 department covering nine major disciplines: agronomy, engineering, science, economics, management, law, liberal arts, arts, and interdisciplinary studies. CAU has 14,679 undergraduate students, 9,311 graduate students and 5,673 Ph.D. students in 2025 academic year.
Oklahoma State University (OSU) is a public land-grant research university established in 1890 in Stillwater. With a total enrollment of over 33,000 students across its five-campus system and a faculty body of nearly 4,900, OSU provides a comprehensive and accessible education. The university is organized into a wide array of colleges and schools, including the highly-regarded Spears School of Business, the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, the Ferguson College of Agriculture, and the College of Arts and Sciences.
CAU-OSU program is a joint education program between China Agricultural University (CAU) and Oklahoma State University (OSU) . CAU-OSU program was launched in 2011 and it offers undergraduate major in Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management (Agribusiness). The students will study 2-3 years in CAU then transfer to OSU to continue their education and finish the degree.
International College Beijing(ICB) of China Agricultural University(CAU) invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor in the joint education program between China Agricultural University and Oklahoma State University(OSU) in the US.
Position description
The selected candidates are expected to
1. Teach two to four courses per year in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Law, Agricultural Finance, Agribusiness Management, International Agricultural Trade, etc. on the east campus of CAU
2. Advise and mentor students
3. Participate in college activities
Qualifications
l Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Agricultural Finance, Finance, Agribusiness Management, International Agricultural Trade or closely related discipline, received from reputable universities
l At least two years of college level teaching experience
l Fluent English capacity
l Open to culture differences
l Good communication skills
Base Salary
l US$35,000-US$55,000(before tax) per year commensurate with rank, background and experience, in accordance with teaching hours and working load.
l Salary will be paid in RMB (Chinese currency) to faculty's local bank account
