The University of Duisburg-Essen, Mercator School of Management, chair Microeconomics and International Economics is currently looking for a
post-doctoral researcher (German pay grade EG 13 TV-L, 100%)

Start of employment: September 1, 2026
Duration of employment: 36 months (end of project)
Working time: 100% of a full-time position
Your main tasks
- Active participation in the chair’s research projects, with a specific focus on the DFG-funded project Financing, Production, and Dissemination of Science.
- Conducting independent research within a dynamic academic environment.
- The position provides ample opportunity and support for further academic qualification.
Your profile
- A completed university degree and a Ph.D. (Promotion) in Economics (candidates in the final stages of their doctoral studies will also be considered).
- A research focus in at least one of the following areas: Economic Theory, Game Theory, or Industrial Organization.
- Excellent proficiency in theoretical methods of economics.
- Professional fluency in English (both written and spoken).
