POSITION DESCRIPTION: Full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank starting in August 2027. Teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and/or M.B.A. levels. All areas of interest will be considered.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Economics or equivalent from an accredited institution. A.B.D.s in advanced dissertation stages will also be considered, but the degree must be conferred by the start date (August 1, 2027). Candidates should demonstrate the potential for excellent teaching, research, and service to the university and profession. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach online and teach alternative delivery formats.
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at the principles and intermediate level. Candidates who are eager to develop and teach a senior-level elective in their area of expertise are welcomed. JOE Signals will be considered.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Tennessee Technological University and the College of Business emphasize quality teaching and mentoring. The standard teaching load is 9 credit hours (3 courses) per semester and courses may be taught in traditional, online, or hybrid formats. Research leading to refereed publications is required. Service to the university and the profession are expected.
SALARY: Competitive with AACSB-accredited peer institutions and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
