Franklin University Switzerland invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Economics, beginning in August 2024, pending funding. The position is full-time, renewable and with a clear promotion ladder.

We are looking for candidates with a Ph.D. in Economics at the time of hire, with a clear commitment to teaching undergraduate students and a clear understanding of the liberal arts and sciences context in which students learn at Franklin. Franklin’s multinational faculty, staff, and student body collaborate to create a unique learning environment in which global approaches to the liberal arts and sciences are integrated into every program of study. As such, the successful candidate will approach Economics education in an interdisciplinary way, connecting Economics with the liberal arts and sciences as well as with other disciplines in business and management. Franklin students should graduate not only with a rigorous grounding in their primary area of study, but also with the abilities to connect those skills to the broader world, to communicate across cultural contexts, and to adapt and thrive in dynamic and changing global environments. To support these goals, the successful candidate will have experience with innovative pedagogical methods, including experiential project-based learning, and will be ready to forge connections between Franklin classrooms and Franklin’s wider community in Switzerland and beyond.

A typical teaching load is six courses per year (18 credit hours / 36-38 ECTS annually), including a course with an integrated Academic Travel component, which is a fundamental part of Franklin’s international, interdisciplinary, and intercultural curriculum. Core courses include macro- and microeconomics, international economics, managerial economics, banking and finance, decision sciences, and political economy. Topics of current interest for future course development include digitalization and artificial intelligence in business. Economics courses at Franklin serve not only students majoring in Economics, but also students from a range of other majors such as Political Science, International Relations, Finance, and Social Justice and Sustainability. Given this, we seek candidates who can equip students for critical explorations of competing perspectives in a pluralist context.

Franklin faculty maintain active research agendas within their disciplines and in interdisciplinary collaboration with colleague in other disciplines. We seek candidates whose research agendas and teaching practices mutually inform and energize one another. Beyond research and classroom teaching, additional expectations include academic advising, student mentorship, and serving on department committees.

Ideally, candidates will be conversant in one of the official languages of Switzerland and have an established track record of interdisciplinary teaching.

To apply, please submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a research statement, and teaching evaluations, along with three references to econsearch@fus.edu. Review of applications will begin on 26 February 2024 and continue until the position is filled.

To apply, send a message to econsearch@fus.edu. (See posting for details.)

At the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), economics is at the heart of everything we do. We tackle high-profile cases, analyse potential harm to competition, champion the consumer and offer intellectual leadership. Econometric analysis plays an important part in our decisions, and is likely to become even more important as the UK has left the EU and we have become responsible for assessing larger and more complex cases.

As an Econometrics Adviser, you will join a strong team of specialist econometricians to deliver complex analysis in collaboration with CMA case teams. You will be expected to provide input into a range of cases, including investigations into mergers and markets, competition and consumer enforcement, and regulatory appeals. You will typically lead the econometric workstream in these cases. You will be responsible for designing an identification strategy, gathering the necessary data, carrying out the analysis, and presenting your results to the rest of the team and the decision makers. In more complex projects you will work as part of a small team of econometricians, and you will be responsible for managing more junior staff and sharing work effectively with others.

You will have opportunities to manage and develop others, and to contribute to the development of the CMA’s econometric capability. It’s an environment with autonomy, responsibility and direct access to key decision makers.

We are looking for high calibre economists specialising in Empirical Industrial Organisation or econometricians with a good understanding of industrial organisation and competition economics. Having a PhD in economics is an advantage. It is essential you have the ability to write clearly and present to non-technical audiences in a way that engages, informs and drives decision-making.

If you’re looking for a role that combines intellectual challenge with excellent opportunities for career development, we’d like to hear from you.

The CMA prides itself on being a great place to work and strives to ensure that staff have the opportunity to grow and expand their skills portfolio. As well as being a hugely rewarding, diverse and stimulating place to work, you will have an opportunity to work for the public good and to stretch and develop yourself while doing so.

All CMA staff enjoy generous benefits, including an excellent pension scheme, at least 25 days’ leave (increasing to 30 over five years), favourable consideration of flexible working, and generous maternity/paternity leave provision. You can also take advantage of interest-free season ticket loans, a cycle to work scheme and our employee well-assistance programme.

We are looking for applicants to be based either in our London or Edinburgh offices. CMA staff in both offices work together in an integrated way across the full range of projects. You will have the opportunity for some home working.

To find out more about this opportunity and about working for the CMA, please click HERE.

Information about the work of the CMA can also be found by visiting our economist LinkedIn page.

Please also have a read of our blog to learn more about being an Economist at the CMA.

Closing date for completed application: 11.55pm on Friday 8th March 2024.

The CMA are an accredited Disability Confident Employer, and we are an equal opportunities employer, welcoming suitably qualified applicants from all backgrounds.

We recruit by merit on the basis of fair and open competition, as outlined in the Civil Service Commission's recruitment principles.

The Bordeaux School of Economics is offering a post-doctoral contract in economics for a period of two years (24 months) intended for excellent early-career researchers. The contract is funded by the ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) under the Chair of Professor Nicolas Hérault.

The position provides an outstanding opportunity to conduct independent research (intended to represent at least 50% of research time) with access to research funds upon demand for travel, data, software or computer equipment.

The post-doctoral researcher will also be expected to collaborate (as co-author) with Pr. Nicolas Hérault and Pr. Olivier Bargain. Their research topics cover public and labour economics and a variety of research methods including microeconometric techniques (RDD, Diff-in-Diff, etc.), meticulous microdata analyses as well as tax-benefit microsimulation models.

Potential topics for collaboration include (but are not limited to):

- Public policy evaluations: how social transfers such as State retirement pensions, unemployment benefits or family benefits affect recipients’ and potential recipients’ behaviours (e.g., claiming decisions, labour supply, etc.)?

- Tax-transfer policies: what is the effect of tax-transfer policies on inequality? on labour supply? How do we measure the implicit cost of children embedded in these policies? How does it align with consumption models? With optimal tax models?

- Integrated behavioural analyses in economics and psychology: how do we integrate approaches in economics and psychology for the analysis of behavioural responses to shocks? How to develop econometric approaches to provide large-scale evidence on behavioural responses that are also analysed more closely through lab experiments? (Lab experiments can be carried out jointly with the team of behavioural economists and/or psychologists at Bordeaux University).

- Measurement issues in income inequality and income mobility (both intra- and intergenerational): how reliable are these measures at the bottom and top of the distribution? What are the extent of mismeasurement issues in different data sources such as administrative/register data and survey data? How can we address them?

- The political economy of tax-transfer policies: how does the political process, such as changes in elected majorities, affect the design of the tax-transfer system? In turn, does the political process mediates the effect of tax-transfer reforms on people’s behaviours such as labour supply decisions?

Profile

The candidate should hold a PhD in Economics, have strong analytical skills and a high standard of research excellence. Experience in applied econometrics in one or more of the following areas is required: labour economics, welfare economics, public economics. The candidate should have the ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, as part of an international team.

Knowledge of French is not required.

Application process

Candidates are invited to send a CV, a cover letter with a short research statement (1 page max.), one research paper, and at least two recommendation letters to Nicolas Hérault (nicolas.herault@u-bordeaux.fr) and Olivier Bargain (olivier.bargain@u-bordeaux.fr).

Deadline: applications will be examined as they come in until a suitable candidate is found.

Additional information

This position is for two years and comes with no teaching nor administrative duties. However, the candidate can opt to give paid courses (in French or English).

The successful applicants will be provided with office space and computer facilities at BSE. A regular presence at BSE is expected for a better integration and involvement in the rich BSE research life, noting that flexible work schedules tailored to your needs as well as (partial) remote work are key parts of BSE’s work culture.

Starting date: flexible but no later than September 1, 2024.

Remuneration: Gross monthly remuneration between €2,700 and €3,000 depending on experience.

The Bordeaux of School of Economics

BSE offers as stimulating and lively research environment as one of the main French research centres in economics, bringing together a community of approximately 160 researchers, engineers, administrative staff and doctoral students.

Through research in economics and in association with other disciplines, BSE aims to make a significant contribution to major contemporary societal issues.

DTU invites applications for a position as a full professor in Climate Risk Management. The professorship is affiliated with DTU's Department of Technology, Management and Economics (DTU Management) in the Division for Climate and Energy Policy.

The division is an interdisciplinary research unit that carries out research on climate resilience, adaptation, and mitigation pathways. The division gathers expertise from economics, ecosystem modelling, and data science. We offer an excellent research environment with international staff, postdocs, and PhD students.

Our research within climate risk management aims to facilitate climate-resilient decision-making. The objective is to promote sustainable development by reducing damages and optimizing benefits across population groups, regions and sectors that are potentially affected by the changing climate.

Climate risk management requires approaches from several scientific disciplines as loss and damage vary across natural surroundings and societal frameworks. The consequences are manifold and drive financial risks like credit, market, insurance, and liquidity risks.

We apply integrated risk management of multi-hazards, the compound effects of extreme events (e.g., flooding, heat waves, wildfires, drought, storm surges and elevated water levels), and their consequences on land use and ecosystems.

Within this area, the position is offered to candidates with a focus on:

  • Climate Modelling: Estimating the likelihood and distribution of climate risks through statistical models and projections.

and/or a focus on:

  • Climate Economics: Estimating social and economic impacts related to climate change and evaluating adaptation and mitigation solutions.

Responsibilities and qualifications

Climate modelling and climate economics are seen as key contributions when identifying climate mitigation and adaptation policies and regulations that tackle the short- and long run impacts of climate change, taking uncertainties and risks into account. Therefore, candidates with documented interdisciplinary experience will be given priority.

We expect the candidate to exhibit academic leadership, to attract grants, and to build a fruitful environment based on the professorship.

You are expected to take a lead role in teaching at the BEng, BSc, MSc and PhD levels.

You will bring the following:

  • Strong expertise in climate modelling and/or climate economics
  • Developed new theories or methods within your research field
  • An ambition to push boundaries and identify future research agendas
  • Experience with teaching university courses at various levels
  • Motivating colleagues, peers, and students to give their best and support them in realizing their visions
  • A solid international stakeholder network within and beyond academia

DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.

You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

  • Documented experience and quality of teaching and curriculum development
  • Research impact and experience, funding track record and research vision
  • International impact and experience
  • Societal impact
  • Innovativeness, including commercialization and collaboration with industry
  • Leadership, collaboration, and interdisciplinary skills
  • Communication skills

Salary and terms of employment

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.

The position is a full-time position. The expected start date is during the fall of 2024, but we are flexible on the start date.

DTU invites applications for a position as a full professorship in Finance. The professorship is affiliated with DTU's Department of Technology, Management and Economics (DTU Management) in the Division for Climate and Energy Policy.

The division is an interdisciplinary research unit addressing the societal aspects of the green transition and key policies to support it. We offer an excellent research environment with international staff, postdocs, and PhD students.

We deliver research-based insights to policymakers and industry professionals on climate mitigation, adaptation, and pathways for reducing carbon emissions and damage costs from climate change. Our research is rooted in energy and climate economics, and we use energy and climate models and rich data from micro to macro levels.

The transition to a low-carbon, more resource-efficient and sustainable economy depends on financial systems and strategies supporting sustainable growth. Responsible investments are needed, where environmental, social, and governance considerations are taken into account to support long-term investments in sustainable economic activities and projects. Moreover, climate change imposes financial risks on capital markets, businesses and the financial sector, which must be addressed in the design of energy and climate policies.

With this position, the department wants to strengthen the research within finance and is looking for candidates with experience in some of the following research areas:

  • Sustainable finance
  • Corporate finance and financial risk management
  • Capital markets with climate risks
  • Energy and commodity finance
  • Business performance and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) scoring
  • Green assets and green bonds

Responsibilities and qualifications

We seek a professor, who can build up a strong research team to deliver decision support to businesses and policymakers on some of the research areas mentioned above. A core area of research will be identifying financial activities, strategies, and instruments that link financial decisions to environmental performance and climate-related risks to align financial decisions with sustainability objectives.

We expect the candidate to exhibit academic leadership, attract grants, and build a fruitful environment based on the professorship.

You will bring the following:

  • A background in financial economics, financial engineering or similar

  • PhD in Finance (financial economics, engineering or equivalent)

  • Strong publication record in finance and preferably energy finance

  • Expertise in some of the research areas mentioned above.

  • Knowledge of new theories and a mastery of recent quantitative methods

  • Experience in teaching corporate and sustainable finance

  • Good teaching evaluations

  • Good external funding track

  • A solid international stakeholder network within and beyond academia

  • An ambition to push boundaries and define future research agendas.

Our fundamental values rest on credibility, trust and security. By having the courage to think freely and innovate, our actions together, large and small, contribute to a better world. We look forward to receiving your application!

Work assignments

Employment as a postdoctoral researcher in economics is available at the Division of Economics in the Department of Management and Engineering. This position is funded by the Catharina Högbom and Michael Cocozza Foundation for Research and Cultural Purposes in Linköping Municipality. While the research direction for the position is open and encompasses all areas in economics, including financial economics, it should be related to at least one goal in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The specific focus will be determined through consultation between the hired candidate and the division. Your tasks will include:

  • Independently developing, taking responsibility for, and implementing a research program in economics with the aim of achieving international recognition.
  • Producing and publishing research results of high scientific quality in respected peer-reviewed scientific journals within the field of economics.
  • Actively participating in seminars, discussion groups, and other activities organized within the division.
  • Presenting research findings at conferences and research seminars.
  • Serving as a competence resource within your area of expertise for the division.
  • Utilizing opportunities for teaching and supervision when they support career development and align with the research direction.
  • Seeking external research funds for future research projects.

As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours.

Qualifications

To be qualified to take employment as postdoc, you must have been awarded a doctoral degree or have a foreign degree that is deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree. This degree must have been awarded at the latest by the point at which LiU makes its decision to employ you.

It is considered advantageous if your doctoral degree is no older than three years at application deadline for this job. If there are special reasons for having an older doctoral degree – such as taking statutory leave – then these may be taken into consideration.

We are seeking applicants who have a PhD in economics.

The primary basis of assessment will be the applicant’s documented scientific proficiency as well as the quality of the planned research activity, as described in the research plan. Therefore, your application should include a research plan that outlines how you propose to employ a 2-year postdoctoral position. It is a requirement that the planned research is related to at least one of the goals set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The ability to conduct independent research, as well as experience in participating in research collaborations, are also significant merits. It is particularly meritorious if you have documented experience in theoretical research and plan to continue this during your postdoctoral tenure.

As a person, you are confident, independent, and structured. You have an excellent ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively. Commitment, ability to cooperate, and good personal qualities are highly valued. Strong proficiency in English, both in speech and writing, is a prerequisite.

The workplace

You will be employed at the Division of Economics in the Department of Management and Engineering. The division consists of approximately 30 people, and its operations encompass research as well as education at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The research at the division is characterized by interdisciplinarity through collaboration with other research environments, a clear relation to current societal problems and interaction with society, as well as a distinct policy orientation. The division conducts research in areas directly related to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Examples of these research areas include the economics of discrimination and inequality, sustainable finance, health economics, and transport economics.

This post is a temporary contract of two years with the possibility of extension up to a total maximum of three years. The position as a postdoc is full-time.

CGIAR Standing Panel on Impact Assessment (SPIA)

Postdoctoral Fellow, Causal Impact Assessment

About the program – SPIA

The Standing Panel on Impact Assessment (SPIA) is an independent entity within CGIAR, with a mandate from the CGIAR System Council to generate evidence on the impacts of the CGIAR system. SPIA is responsible for providing rigorous, evidence-based, and independent strategic advice on efficient and effective impact assessment methods and practices.

About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow with an interest in agriculture, natural resource management, food systems and nutrition, and expertise in causal impact evaluation to join the SPIA team, hosted by The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

SPIA aims to identify and facilitate the implementation of the most relevant independent causal impact studies of CGIAR innovations by using a systematic scoping of potential causal “learning” and “accountability” studies in collaboration with CGIAR researchers and external and internal impact assessment experts. The Postdoctoral Fellow will assist in the design and implementation of rigorous experimental and quasi experimental impact studies and long-term follow-ups.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will have time and be expected to pursue his or her own research agenda, especially as it results in original, publishable research in areas relevant to SPIA’s work plan, including close collaboration with SPIA panel members, CGIAR researchers, SPIA’s research team and partners. Responsibilities will include conducting literature reviews and writing synthesis papers; development of questionnaires; data management, analysis and writing of publications; and promotion of research outputs and relevant findings to key stakeholders, including policy-makers, researchers, and implementers.

Other key responsibilities include participation and organization of SPIA activities and events; supporting capacity-building activities and interactions with the Impact Assessment Community of Practice in CGIAR; and mentoring of predoctoral fellows.

The position will have an administrative reporting line locally to an ILRI staff in Kenya, but will report to SPIA Principal Scientist based in the CIAT campus, Colombia for the technical details of her/his work program.

The Postdoctoral Fellow is expected to travel across CGIAR priority hubs and work closely with CGIAR researchers in these different CGIAR locations.

Qualifications

PhD in Economics, Applied/Agricultural Economics, or a related social science field, preferably with a concentration in Development, Agricultural or Environmental Economics and with PhDlevel expertise in impact evaluation and/or applied micro econometrics.

The PhD should be completed or duly planned by the date of the appointment. Applicants with a PhD obtained prior to 2020 will not be considered.

Skills required

• Experience in designing casual impact evaluations and solid understanding of causal inference and measurement challenges in applied micro-econometrics.

• Experience in conducting empirical field research in developing countries.

• Track record of implementing collaborative research with multi-disciplinary researchers.

• Proactive and reliable, with experience coordinating teams and managing a variety of tasks.

• Strong programming skills in STATA and/or R including experience with data analysis and econometrics.

• Research interests aligned with the broad areas covered by CGIAR research (desirable).

• Excellent oral and written English (essential) and a good command of other languages relevant for CGIAR priority countries (desirable).

Terms of employment

This position is at job level HG 16 and is open to both national and international applicants. The position entails a 2-year appointment, with the possibility of a 1-year extension dependent on funding and performance. ILRI offers a competitive salary and benefits package which includes medical and other insurances.

Start Date (negotiable): 1st June 2024

Applications

Applicants should send a cover letter, CV and the names and addresses (including telephone and email) of three referees who are knowledgeable about the candidate’s professional qualifications and work experience, in English to spia@cgiar.org no later than 29th February 2024.

Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Department of Economics.

We are looking for two highly motivated individuals to join the research project Social Mechanisms and Applications led by the Principal Investigator (PI), Professor David Levine.

The main goal of this project is to study social mechanisms and their allocations. Social norms are crucial for groups to succeed: from political parties, to labour unions, to special interest groups, even to criminal gangs. Each of these groups faces a free-rider problem: it is in the interest of each individual in the group to let the others do the work of advancing the common interest. Norms are equally pivotal in persuading individuals not to engage in anti-social behaviour, from littering, to thievery, and worse, where again a divide appears between individual goals and larger interests

The project aims to link work in game theory to the operation of social norms in a heterogenous agents’ framework. The project will involve economists, psychologists, and computer scientists at at Royal Holloway in order to understand how social norms develop and sustain themselves. The project will explain and illustrate how a willingness of individuals to bear small costs for the sake of society can be leveraged into system-wide institutional changes. The results will address both large questions that have defined the modern era – how can individuals be convinced to obey social rules that are not normally in their self-interest to follow? – and smaller puzzles of how institutions can better function. Levine does not foresee one-size-fits-all solutions. The norms that support some groups such as volunteer organizations providing health assistance to the poor promote the greater good, while in other cases, such as with special interest lobbying organizations, they can do harm. Public policies should therefore aim to foster the formation of useful social norms in some cases and to transform existing norms in other cases.

Levine’s earlier work on dynamic games has laid out the rules in economics for when self-interested agents will sacrifice current benefits for longer-term gains, provides the theoretical bridge to the present project. The team will explore more concretely how agents who interact dynamically come to learn norms and how they build productive norms in the first place. In the last decades, there has been emerging interest in algorithms to make predictions and decisions in financial markets. The project intends to add a new dimension by studying the interaction between machines and humans.

To answer these questions, a considerable innovation of the project is the use of economic experiments along with algorithmic simulations.

The project has both theoretical and empirical focusses along with subject experiments. Proven research ability in economic theory or programming knowledge of Python or related languages are desirable. Moreover, data management skills and a high level of competence in econometrics and machine learning are desired. Experience in economic experiments would also be desirable. Most of all, the successful candidate will have a great enthusiasm to conduct research on this topic.

This is a project funded by the Leverhulme Trust. The successful candidate will work 1/3 time directly on the project and 2/3 of the time on individual grant related research.

The successful candidate will work closely with the PI, Professor David Levine (Economics), and the research team including Professors: Michael Mandler (Economics), Francesco Feri (Economics), Kostas Stathis (Computer Science) and Ryan McKay (Psychology). They are expected to engage as a full member of the research team contributing to the theoretical and/or empirical analysis of social norms and economic institutions, using theoretical models, simulations, and designing and coding economic experiments, analysing causal relations, assisting with the development of the project’s output, including the preparation of outputs for journal submission.

The successful candidate will possess as many as possible of the following:

· PhD in relevant subject area: economics, computer science, mathematics / statistics, psychology, or related; (it is expected that the appointee will have their PhD awarded within 4 months of the start date)

· Training in using key software, including Python, at advanced level is a plus;

· Demonstrable comprehensive experience of research in heterogenous agent modelling;

· Designing economic experiments, setting up and coding economic experiment using major online platforms;

· Experience of coding complex structural estimations, simulations;

· Experience with constructing research funding proposals;

· Ability to keep accurate records, strong communication skills, experience with interacting with research users and with researchers from related disciplines, and ability to work independently under regular supervision as well as within a team setting.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London. Meetings with the team will take place at Royal Holloway. It is expected that the successful candidate will work on campus and Economic experiments will be carried out in a dedicated lab of the Egham Campus. There might be the possibility to use facilities in Central London based on project requirements.

Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) in the Department of Economics.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the research project “Women's employment and family decisions in Sub-Saharan Africa: A structural approach”.

This main goal of this project is to study the gender pay gap and women's employment in low-income countries (LIC), with the particular focus on the importance of family composition and on the role of the public sector. The vast majority of workers in low-income countries (LIC) are engaged in low-productivity self-employment or unpaid family work. This type work is more common among women; moreover, even when working for a wage, women face substantially lower earnings than men with similar characteristics. However, this situation is very different in the public sector - the gender pay gap there is lower and the share of female employment is higher, especially among married women. Jobs in the public sector also offer other amenities, such as security and flexibility, making them more attractive to women with children.

The successful candidate will work closely with Dr Ija Trapeznikova, Dr Ahu Gemici and Prof Juan Pablo Rud. As part of the research team, the PDRF will work on delivering the research output of the project, including a cross-country analysis of fertility and labour market outcomes using micro data from a number of Sub-Saharan African countries, and the development and estimation of a structural model of women’s employment and family choices given the institutional constraints. The PDRA will also help in activities related to dissemination of the results.

This is a project funded by the IZA/FCDO Programme on Gender, Growth and Labour Markets in Low-Income Countries (G²LM|LIC).

The successful candidate will work 50% of their time directly on the project and 50% of the time on individual research, preferably related to the grant.

The post is for 24 months, with the flexible starting date but no later than 1 August 2024.

The successful candidate will possess as many as possible of the following:

  1. PhD in Economics (or near completion of) with research interests in labour markets, family economics and/or development.
  2. Knowledge of applied econometrics and structural modelling;
  3. Experience working with large micro data;
  4. Programming skills in Matlab, Python, or a similar software (e.g. Julia, Fortran), at advanced level is a plus;
  5. Knowledge of numerical methods for solving and estimating dynamic models.
  6. Ability to keep accurate records, strong communication skills, experience with interacting with research users and with researchers from related disciplines, and ability to work independently under regular supervision as well as within a team setting.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.

For an informal discussion about the post, please contact the project PI, Ija Trapeznikova on ija.trapeznikova@rhul.ac.uk.
