The Economics Department at UTS Business School is seeking to make a fixed-term appointment (up to 2.5 years) at Research Associate, or Fellow level to contribute to the Australian Research Council-funded project “Inequality and intergenerational mobility: measuring what matters and why” (DP250102243). We seek candidates with an emerging record of quality scholarly research with a focus on inequality and intergenerational mobility. The role requires a PhD in Economics and demonstrated experience in applied econometrics, working with administrative data, and survey research methods—ideally with familiarity in the Australian context.

About the Role
The successful candidate will work as a junior collaborator with the Project Investigators - Prof Peter Siminski (UTS), Prof Roger Wilkins (UMelbourne), Dr Nathan Deutscher (UTS) and Prof Bhashkar Mazumder (UC-Irvine). The position will be based at UTS and play a central role in the delivery of the project. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, a practical approach and be passionate about the quality of their work. Their responsibilities will include managing day-to-day project operations alongside the Chief Investigators, compiling large-scale linked datasets, conducting data analysis, and co-authoring scholarly outputs. They will also lead aspects of a representative survey, including cognitive testing and coordination with an external survey provider. This is an ideal opportunity to grow a research profile in a broad and expanding field of economics. The project will allow the successful candidate to deepen expertise in world-class administrative and survey datasets and build networks with Australian policymakers and the economics community.

Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salaries are:
· Post-Doctoral Research Associate (Level A): $92,761 to $112,977 pa
· Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Level B): $123,389 to $146,038 pa
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for up to 2.5 years. Consideration will be given to part-time appointments.

We are searching for one full-time pre-doctoral staff member to work under the direction of Eric Weese and Ryuichi Tanaka at the Institute of Social Science, University of Tokyo. Our research project uses structural models to consider the political economy of local public good provision, in particular education. The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE - kse.ua) will offer multiple Postdoctoral Fellowships in economics, with terms of up to three years, beginning fall 2025. Fellowships may be converted to tenure-track positions following the second year.
KSE is a dynamic, highly rated private university, well linked to European and global academic communities. Job Description
The Department of Economics at McMaster University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship. This is a two-year fellowship that shall commence on July 1, 2025.
The successful candidate must either have received their doctorate since July 1, 2020, or expect to do so by December 31, 2025.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in applied economics in a field such as labour, health, public, or international economics. The fellow will be expected to be actively involved in the daily life of the Department, and will conduct independent research related to productivity, broadly defined. A wide range of research areas will be considered, including but not limited to: human capital (including its interaction with health); immigration; labour markets; education and training; worker and institutional productivity in the health or government sectors or in specific industries; consequences of taxes and transfer programs; investment and financial markets’ international competition; and the effects of regulation and trade policies.
The Productivity Partnership is partially funding this position. Prior experience with the analysis of microdata related to productivity, especially firm or workplace data, would be an asset, particularly if the associated research is relevant to Canada.
This Postdoctoral Fellowship provides an annual stipend of $70,000, which includes the requirement to teach one 3-unit course per year. Furthermore, the Department of Economics will provide up to $8,000 to cover research expenses. These funds can be used for a variety of purposes, including purchasing computer hardware and software, acquiring technical books and journals, and covering travel expenses for conferences.
