The Faculty of Economics and Statistics at the University of Innsbruck seeks a dedicated and talented Postdoc to join our team. The contract lasts three years, starting on October 1st, 2024 or after mutual agreement.

This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of applied microeconometrics, with a particular focus on migration and labor economics.

The successful candidate's main responsibilities are contributing to high-impact research publications, collaborating on ongoing research projects, and pursuing high-quality, independent research. Postdocs participate in research-led teaching and assist with the department’s educational activities and self-governance.

Required Qualifications:

  • A completed Doctorate or PhD in Economics or Social Sciences.
  • Strong knowledge of econometric methods and experience in empirical research, particularly with survey and administrative data.
  • Experience with big data techniques (machine learning, web scraping, unstructured data) is desirable.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English (German language skills are not required).
