Position Description: Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), a prestigious triple-accredited institution (AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA), is seeking candidates for the following positions, effective September 1, 2025:

  • Assistant Professor in Finance (Research Tenure Track): Candidates should hold or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. A strong research record and the ability to publish in leading international peer-reviewed journals are essential.
  • Professor in Finance (Teaching Track): Open to candidates at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. Strong teaching evaluations are required.

Compensation and teaching load for both tracks are competitive with top European universities.

School Description: Nova SBE offers programs in management, economics, and finance at the undergraduate, master's, MBA, and doctorate levels. The conditions of employment comply with the terms of Regulation no 409/2018 of 20 June, and the Labour Code, approved by Law no 7/2009 of 12 February, with subsequent amendments ("Labour Code"). Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary depending on the category (Assistant, Associate or Full) and career stage and based on a full-time contract of 35 hours.
