The Munich Research Institute for the Economics of Aging and SHARE analyses (MEA) (www.mea-share.eu) works in close cooperation with the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science to build micro and macroeconomic models for a better understanding of the implications of individual and population aging. MEA offers the position of
Postdoctoral Researcher in Macroeconomics (m/f/d)
with an interest in overlapping generations (OLG) and heterogeneous agents models at the earliest possibility. You will work on the implications of population aging on labor supply, saving behavior and economic growth in Europe, conditional on the organization and financing of European social systems such as pensions, healthcare and long-term care. Experience with European data sets relating to the above topics and knowledge about structural modelling are especially welcome.
Your Work Environment
You will work on a large-scale international project funded by the European Commission. Your colleagues are in Munich, Brussels, Copenhagen, Paris, Madrid and Montreal. You will be interacting with other projects in the Institute funded by the Max Planck Society, the European Commission, and the US National Institute on Aging. Our research includes international comparisons as well as country-specific analyses, especially Germany and other European countries.
