JOBS DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS: The University of Amsterdam is seeking candidates for the following positions: Assistant Professor of Finance (tenure-track) or Associate Professor of Finance (tenured). We welcome applications from highly qualified candidates in all major fields in finance.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Finance or a related discipline (completed or near completion). We seek candidates with high research potential or achievements, willingness to interact with faculty colleagues and contribute to the intellectual environment, strong teaching skills at the graduate and undergraduate level, and ability to communicate research in seminars, workshops, and conferences.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: The Finance Group at the University of Amsterdam is an internationally recognized research group with a strong focus on high-quality academic research. Faculty members regularly publish in top finance and economics journals and present their work at top academic conferences every year. The group is very collegial and diverse, with 15 different nationalities. Our weekly academic seminar series features prominent speakers. The Finance Group offers courses at the undergraduate, graduate, executive, and Ph.D. (at the Tinbergen Institute) levels. The teaching load is reasonable and can be concentrated both in terms of time and preparation. The working language, including teaching activities, is English.
