The Department of Finance within the University of Miami Herbert Business School seeks applicants for a Tenure Track or Tenure Eligible Professor position starting in the Fall 2026. The department prefers relatively recent graduates with an active research agenda. We welcome researchers in all areas of finance.

Eligible candidates must have completed a Ph.D. or expect to complete a Ph.D. in Finance or related areas prior to beginning employment. Successful candidates must demonstrate potential for research leading to publications in top journals and effective teaching at the university level. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be competitive with top business schools.

In addition to teaching, the Department of Finance faculty are actively engaged in research, and in recent years, members of the Department have published their research in a wide variety of top-tier academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies, among others. Department members are active in the editorial process of numerous journals and have served as Editors and Associate Editors of various academic journals. The Department maintains an active seminar series. The Department also has a Ph.D. program in Finance.
