NHH Norwegian School of Economics invites candidates to apply for faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in the Department of Finance. Assistant and associate professors are offered a seven-year tenure track contract. All fields within finance will be considered. The finance department offers courses at the bachelor, master, and PhD levels, all taught in English. The teaching load is very competitive. Qualified candidates are eligible for top-up salary and research grants through Norges Bank Academic Program (NBAP).
Applicants for a position as Assistant Professor should have obtained or be close to completing a PhD in finance or a related discipline and should show strong research potential. For senior positions, a strong publication track record is expected.
NHH is a leading European business school located in Bergen with a strong research tradition. It is the top school for business students in Norway and has a unique relationship with the Norwegian business and financial community. The school has about 200 full-time
faculty members and 3,7500 students. The finance department has 20 full-time faculty members, of which well over two-thirds are international. In addition, comes a strong set of adjunct professors. The group is strongly dedicated to research and publishes regularly in the top journals.
