The Department of Economics at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) invites applications for an assistant professorship (non-tenure track, 6 years fixed-term). The start date is flexible but we target the summer of 2026.

The position advertised is in Microeconomics particularly economic theory and its applications to Organizational Economics, Industrial Organization, Political Economy, Law and Economics or combinations thereof. The ability to connect with the department's research focuses is highly valued.

Applicants are expected to show outstanding commitment to research and must have obtained a PhD when taking up the position. The position carries a limited teaching load. Teaching can be in English. No knowledge of German is required.
