Call for application. Aix-Marseille School of Economics is seeking to recruit a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level, with starting date of September 1st, 2026. AMSE follows the timeline recommended by the European Economic Association. Online interviews will take place from the 15th to the 18th December 2025. In person interviews of shortlisted candidates will take place in January and beginning of February 2026. The deadline for applications is November 30th, 2025.

Terms and conditions. The tenure-track contract includes a 50% reduction of the teaching load (64 hours instead of 128) for the first three years. Contract holders who need to learn French may choose to teach in English for the first three years. Ability and commitment to teach in French from the fourth year is required. To obtain tenure the holder must satisfy scientific, pedagogic, and collegial duties requirements. The holder satisfying thes requirements will be granted promotion and tenure from the 6th year. The starting net salary (after deduction of mandatory social security contributions) is of approximately 39,300 Euros per year and will increase to approximately 41,700 from the 4th year. After tenure and promotion, the salary will evolve according to the salary scale for university professors set by the Ministry of Education. Tenure track holders are provided with generous research funds.
Location. Aix-Marseille School of Economics is located in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille with teaching and scientific activity in both locations.
