The Department of Economics and Finance (DEF) at Tor Vergata University of Rome invites applications for positions of Senior Assistant Professor in all areas of Economics and Finance with a proven publication record.

The position lasts for six years (but the tenure clock may be shorter) with a possible top-up in addition to the base salary. Candidates must have a Doctorate Degree.

The primary responsibility of a Senior Assistant Professor (RTT) is high-quality research; therefore, the teaching load is light (max 72 hours), and it is preferably allocated to graduate courses. Knowledge of Italian is not required.

Our Department is an equal opportunity employer, devoted to promoting high-quality research, seminars, and conference activities. RePEc and Tilburg University rank our Department among the top 5 universities in Italy, and the top 15% in Europe. Since 2018 the Department has been recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research as one of the best economics Departments in the country (Dipartimento di Eccellenza) and was awarded a large grant that supports an intense hiring policy at both junior and senior levels. More information about the DEF can be found at http://economia.uniroma2.it/en/def/.
