The University of Stavanger invites applicants for a postdoctoral researcher position in economics at the UiS Business School, Department of Economics and Finance. The postdoctoral researcher will be employed for a duration of three to four years, with approximately 25% of the employment period dedicated to teaching and/or supervising students. A strong research background is desirable, including excellent econometrics skills and the ability to publish in highly recognized international journals.
The position is connected to a project studying the role of the Norwegian oil and gas production in the context of climate change, the green transition and increasing geopolitical tension, but applicants are free to pursue their own research agenda. We are primarily interested in candidates working within the fields of macroeconomics, international economics, environmental economics, development economics, natural resources, or public economics, that can contribute to strengthen our research group in applied economics. However, we will consider strong candidates in any area.
We offer generous time for independent research, a low teaching load, funding for research and international conference travel, and competitive compensation. The position emphasizes career development and integration into an active international research environment.
