Krea University is a liberal arts university located two hours outside Chennai, India. We are in our seventh year of operations and looking to significantly expand our economics faculty.

We invite applications from economists of all fields. We welcome applicants of all levels of experience; we expect that experienced applicants will have a track record of teaching and research excellence.

Krea is the institutional home for J-PAL (South Asia), IWWAGE, CDFI, Well Labs and other research organizations in India. These links provide research opportunities for our faculty, and embeddedness within a vibrant research ecosystem.

Interdisciplinarity or interwoven learning is the core of our pedagogic philosophy. In practice, this means that most of your teaching will be in your discipline, but you will have opportunities to collaborate on cross-disciplinary offerings.
