The Department of Economics of Boston College is seeking candidates for a full-time non-tenure track assistant professor of the practice position in economics beginning in Fall 2026. This is an exceptional position, with highly competitive salary, benefits, and teaching load. This is a renewable long-term position, beginning with a 3-year contract. Completed PhD and a record of exceptional undergraduate teaching are required.

Successful candidates will be expected to play a full role in the undergraduate program including active supervision of senior honors theses and undergraduate advisement, and will teach primarily econometrics and statistics but may also teach principles of economics, intermediate micro or macro theory, and electives in their fields of interest in our STEM-qualified undergraduate curriculum. Applicants should be committed to teaching of the highest quality in both large and small class formats.

The expected 9-month base salary range (paid over 12 months) for this position is $155,000-175,000. The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate qualifications and prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.
