The ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim, Germany, is one of the leading economic research institutes in Europe. The ZEW is a non-profit organization and works in the field of frontier empirical economic research and high-level policy advice. It is integrated into an extensive national and international network of universities and research institutes. The ZEW is looking to fill the following position in the Research Department "Digital Economy"

As a successful applicant, you will contribute to the research agenda of the research department of Digital Economy. The position provides the opportunity to develop an independent research agenda in an academically vibrant environment. It is expected that applicants will show interest in engaging with projects that connect cutting-edge research with high-level economic policy advice.

About you
•You have completed or are about to complete your PhD in economics, preferably with a focus on the area of ‘Digital Economy’
•You have a strong interest in theory-based, empirical or experimental analyses, in-depth knowledge of econometrics and strong programming skills
•You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German is not required but highly appreciated
