The postdoctoral research fellow will join the Institute for Applied Microeconomics (IAME) at the University of Bonn. The appointment is full-time for an initial period of three years, with the possibility of a one year extension. The starting date is September 1, 2026 or earlier by mutual agreement.
The position is aimed at early-career researchers who are interested in developing a strong publication record in applied microeconomics with a focus on environmental topics, broadly defined. Candidates with experience handling and linking geospatial data are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will participate in internal seminars and the broader Bonn research community, present work at international conferences, and contribute to research dissemination. Teaching responsibilities typically consist of one course per semester and can be arranged flexibly depending on the candidate’s profile and the institute’s teaching needs. Teaching can be in English. Knowledge of German is not required.
Candidates should have, or expect to complete, a Ph.D. in economics and demonstrate strong potential for publication in leading economics journals.
Please submit your application through EconJobMarket, including a cover letter, CV, research statement, at least one research paper, and two reference letters.
All applications received by March 15, 2026 will receive full consideration. Applications will be accepted until March 22, 2026 (midnight UTC). Review will continue until the position is filled. For further information, please contact Prof. Dr. Julia Mink (jmink@uni-bonn.de).
