The successful candidate will teach courses in French and English at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Two courses will be given in French in Microeconomics on the Bachelor’s level. The research profile as well as offered Master courses should fall within applied microeconomics. Possible areas include, for example, labour economics, health economics, education economics, competition, personnel economics, or innovation economics.

The successful candidate must have a doctorate (Ph.D.) in economics or a related field, and demonstrate an excellent research record in applied microeconomics, strong teaching skills, and the ability to supervise theses at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level. The University of Fribourg is bilingual (French/German). Fluency in French is required and knowledge of German (oral level B1) is expected. If this is not the case, it must be acquired within two years of taking up the position.

The position includes one 100% doctoral assistant. The University offers attractive working conditions and a competitive salary. The position is open rank, in accordance with University statutes.
