The Department of Economics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor invites applications for full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in any field of economics to begin August 25, 2027. This is a university-year appointment at the assistant professor level. Duties include teaching and conducting research in economics, advising students, and providing service to the department and university. A Ph.D. in Economics or a related field is required by the start date of the position. Applicants must submit a current curriculum vitae, job market paper, three reference letters, a statement of teaching philosophy and experience, a statement of current and future research plans, and evidence of teaching excellence. First consideration will be given to applications submitted by November 7, 2026. Applications will continue to be considered until the position is filled.
