The Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University seeks to fill 1 assistant professor position in labor economics (broadly defined). Appointments will be effective September 1, 2027.

About the Position

The position is almost entirely research-oriented, but provides some teaching and supervising opportunities on a voluntary basis. It also provides the opportunity to be in charge of SOFI's labor economics seminar series. The position has a duration of up to 6 years (3+3) but is not a tenure-track position. Compensation is competitive and mainly in the form of a tax-free stipend.

About the Institute

SOFI was established in 1972 as an independent interdisciplinary research institute within Stockholm University. You would be affiliated to one of the largest labor economics groups (AME) in Europe, composed of approximately thirty labor economists working on a variety of topics and fields. Job Qualifications

Applicants are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in Economics (or related field) by September 1st 2027.
