The Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus University, invites applications for post-doctoral fellowships in economics of education, starting in the fall of 2027.

The positions are funded by TrygFonden’s Centre for Child Research at Aarhus BSS. TrygFonden’s Centre for Child Research is an interdisciplinary research centre based at Aarhus University (Aarhus BSS) that specializes in rigorous impact evaluations and policy-relevant research on children’s and young people’s development, learning and well-being. The centre brings together scholars from economics, political science, psychology and neighbouring fields, enabling cross-disciplinary work that links causal evaluation and behavioural insights. In this call, the centre focuses on education economics. The centre currently lists more than 45 fellows across disciplines and is supported by a permanent secretariat, which runs day-to-day project management, data collection, GDPR issues, communication etc. Applicants who can contribute with new research within this field are preferred. The duration of the post-doctoral fellowships is up to 4 years. We offer favourable conditions regarding research facilities, data access, time devoted to research, travel support, etc. For non-Danish researchers, a favourable tax-scheme exists. There are limited teaching responsibilities in connection with the position. In exceptional circumstances, the position may be converted into an assistant professorship.

Interviews will be conducted through the European Job Market virtual meetings mid-December, and candidates may subsequently be invited to give a job talk at Aarhus University starting January 2027.
