The Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus University invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship, starting in the fall of 2027 (negotiable).

Candidates within the fields of energy economics/econometrics, economics/econometrics of the climate and the green transition, climate finance, energy finance, and the logistics of energy optimization, are invited to apply.

The positions are funded by CoRE, Center for Research in Energy: Economics and Markets, via a major grant by the energy trading company InCommodities. The center focuses on research in a broad sense within the fields mentioned above with focus on quantitative economics including econometrics and empirical research relevant for energy markets, the climate and the green energy transition.

The duration of the post-doctoral fellowship is 4 years. We offer favourable conditions regarding research facilities, data access, time devoted to research, travel support, etc. For non-Danish researchers, a favourable tax-scheme exists. There are limited teaching responsibilities in connection with the position. In exceptional circumstances, the position may be converted into an assistant professorship.

Interviews will be conducted through the European Job Market virtual meetings mid-December, and candidates may subsequently be invited to give a job talk at Aarhus University starting January 2027.
